CBD is strongly anti-psychotic and can limit schizophrenic symptoms with significantly fewer side effects than current modern day medications. Purified CBD is an anticonvulsant which can safely be administered to children suffering from severe seizure syndrome, such as epilepsy. One noteworthy case treated a child having 200 to 400 seizures per month reducing that to zero for a two year record-keeping period.
CBD is an antiemetic, which significantly reduces nausea and vomiting. It has inflammatory properties whether applied topically or taken internally. Its antioxidant properties make it neuro-protective; its anxiolytic properties help combat anxiety disorders and the antidepressant properties counter depression disorders. Its anti-cancer and anti-tumor properties were inadvertently discovered in 1975 from medical studies conducted by the Medical College of Virginia funded by the DEA (and immediately defunded because they weren't interested in positive results).
Sativa and Ruderalis are both strong CBD producers, which makes them ideal for anxiety and stress reduction, calming, mood-lifting, thoughtfulness, creativity, enhanced focus, ADHD, energy boost, and antidepressant qualities.
Indica is a strong THC producer, helping to make the patient mellow, combat pain, enhance relaxation, and mitigate lack of appetite, sleeping disorders, anxiety, nausea, muscle spasms, migraines, and stress.
As you probably know there are hundreds of varieties of medical marijuana available. Whether by creative artisan biologists, or by highly trained geneticists, cannabis plants have been successfully crossbred for specific purposes.
Recently breeders have become much more interested in the Ruderalis strain because, unlike Sativa or Indica, it is a hardy, tough plant, with remarkably fast flowering (only 3 to 4 weeks after germination) and resistance to cold climates. Expect to hear more about this particular strain in the future.
THCa (the acidic precursor to THC) and CBDa (the same for CBD), need heat to become the desired products. Heating it to about 240° F creates the necessary decarboxylation (conversion), so you don't need to burn it to get the product you need. This is why odorless vaporizers akin to e-cigs are becoming so popular. Not only do you avoid the combustion products of smoking, but the smell doesn't irritate people around you who aren't interested.
Ingesting it in food delivers its effects more slowly, but lasts for several hours. It is also available as tinctures, in pill form, or as topical balms. Feel free to speak to one of our consultants and we will help you work out what method might be best for you.
